Consultation
Your skin is assessed by the doctor, who checks whether HIFU suits you and plans the areas and depths.
Preparation
The skin is cleansed and the treatment zones are marked. A gel is applied for the ultrasound.
Treatment
The handpiece is passed over each area. You may feel warm, prickly pulses. Face and neck usually take 45 to 90 minutes.
Results
Some tightening may show early. The main change builds gradually over 2 to 3 months as collagen forms.

Does HIFU hurt?
Most people describe warm, tingling or prickly pulses, felt more over bony areas like the jawline. It is generally well tolerated, and the energy level can be adjusted for comfort.
How many sessions will I need?
Many people need one session for the face and neck, with some needing a second. The doctor will advise based on your skin. Maintenance sessions are often done once a year.
When will I see results, and how long do they last?
Collagen builds gradually, so results usually become clearer over 2 to 3 months. How long they last depends on age, skin type, sun exposure and lifestyle. Results vary from person to person.
Is there any downtime?
Usually very little. Mild redness, swelling or tenderness can occur and normally settles within hours to a few days. Most people return to work the same day.
What should I do after treatment?
Use sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher, keep your skin hydrated, avoid makeup for 24 hours, and skip saunas, steam and very hot showers for about a week.
